- Open existing project
Opens OneTwo3DO project files (*.3dp).
- Save project
Saves current OneTwo3DO project.
- Close project
Closes current OneTwo3DO project.
- Clear All
Clears All currently defined data and resets all view-related settings (zoom, colors etc.).
"Clear All" effectively creates a new, empty project.
- Save project as...
Saves current OneTwo3DO project with a new name,
depending on the project path settings in Options.
- Write ASE file...
Saves current OneTwo3DO project as an ASE file in the current project folder,
with the following Options:
- Just write ASE file
Prompts for file name and saves as an ASE file, which can then be used for further external processing, with the GUI version ASE23DO etc.
- Write ASE and convert to 3DO
Saves as an ASE file in the current project folder and converts to 3DO automatically.
- Write ASE, convert and start GPL
Saves as an ASE file in the current project folder, converts to 3DO and starts GPL, according to the settings in Options.
Note:
The referenced MIP files must be present in the desired track folder, else GPL shows the dreaded "Can't load track" message!
- Write 3DO file...
Not available yet.
- Display All Project Contents
Displays contens of the Project, such as vertices, lines, polygons and used textures, in a seperate window.
From there cut/paste can be used to further process the data.
- Print Project Data
Prints contens of the Project, such as vertices, lines, polygons and used textures.
- Options
User-defined options, separated into General Options and Project-dependent Options:
General Options:
These values are loaded with the application.
- Path to Executables (GPL etc.)
These set the path to the appropriate Application and will be used from the corresponding menu functions and tool buttons.
Use the [Browse] Button next to it to point to the particular file.
- Create individual subfolders for projects
When checked, OneTwo3DO creates a subfolder for every project which is saved using Save project as...
In this case, the name of the project can only be 8 characters long, which allows for automatic conversion and running GPL from within OneTwo3DO.
- Copy referenced bitmaps to project folder
When checked, OneTwo3DO creates a copy of the projects referenced bitmaps in the project folder
Benefits are automatic conversion later on, using the MIP conversion information (*.mci) within the project folder.
- Create MIP-conversion Info in project folder
When checked, OneTwo3DO creates MIP conversion information (*.mci) file for the referenced transparent bitmaps in the project folder
- Maximize on startup
When checked, OneTwo3DO starts full-screen.
When unchecked, OneTwo3DO starts in window mode.
- Play sound on errors
When checked, OneTwo3DO plays the standard windows sound when a vertex is missed during line- and polygon creation.
This is an audible signal, in addition to the appropriate Message in the Log window, which is not always good to recognize.
- Show polygon backfaces
When checked, OneTwo3DO displays polygons double-sided.
When unchecked, polygons are displayed one-sided, as seen in within GPL.
Note:
This function is known to show unexpected results in W98.
If OneTwo3DO doesn't start normally (black screen etc.), check this function and restart.
- Pick Polygon colors manually (Use random if un-checked)
When checked, OneTwo3DO ask everytime when a polygon is about to be drawn for the color. Uncheck this if random colors should be used (= no color selection for polygons).
- Show Tool Tips
Yes indeed, show Tool Tips or not ;-)
- No Title Bar for View Window
When checked, the View Window will be re-sized to maximum after the next OneTwo3DO restart.
Note:
This function is known to show unexpected results on some systems.
If OneTwo3DO doesn't start normally (black screen etc.), uncheck this function and restart.
Project Options:
These values are stored with each project.
- Vertex Display Size
Set the size of the displayed Vertex size.
- Background color
Sets the color of the display window Background.
- Standard Vertex Color
Sets the standard color of the displayed vertices.
- Selected Vertex Color
Sets the color of the vertices that is used when they are selected.
- Size of Axis Symbol
Sets the length of the axis lines, drawn on point X:0,Y:0,Z:0 (origin of coordinate system).
- Auto-Overwrite 3DO file
When checked, hides the "File already exists. Overwrite ?" message when re-writing the 3DO file.
- Save 3DO to track folder:
When checked, copies the created 3DO file to the given track folder.
Use the [Browse] Button next to it to point to the particular track folder.
When unchecked, the 3DO file is created in the project folder.
- Autostart GPL when 3DO is written
When checked, automatically launches GPL from the Write ASE, convert and start GPLfunction.
Choose one of the following:
- Minimize OneTwo3DO
OneTwo3DO is minimized, and then maximized again after GPL has been closed.
- Close OneTwo3DO
OneTwo3DO is closed, and then re-started with the current project after GPL has been closed.
Note:
"Close OneTwo3DO" is recommended for some systems. Minimizing can cause problems when trying to make screenshots within GPL.
- Use additional GPL command-line parameters
Allows to start GPL with specific parameters, such as special players etc.
See GPL's readme11.txt for details on how to use command-line parameters.
In case of the example screenshot (shown above) GPL is started with Player WC_Test.
- Exit
Well...you guessed it....
