The tool bar shows buttons for the most-used functions.
The view area displays the working-space.
A right-click into it brings up a menu, from which the following functions are accessible:
- Zoom All (Zoom to full extent)
- Reset view
- Toggle Perspective view on/off
- View from various fixed planes
Note:
As the default zoom factor may not be the best setting for certain dimensions, it's recommended to always
perform a [Zoom All] after importing vertex data in order to see all vertices.
The X, Y and Z sliders rotate the "camera" around the entire scene in the view area, where right= plus and left = minus on the given axis.
Keyboard-Shortcuts:
F1/F2 = Rotate on X-Axis
F3/F4 = Rotate on Y-Axis
F5/F6 = Rotate on Z-Axis
The Zoom slider zooms the entire scene in/out, where right= out and left = in.
Keyboard-Shortcuts:
F7/F8 = Zoom in/out
The Rotate Buttons do exactly that, either independently for all three axis, or all at once.
Use a right-click into the view window to reset the view, if it's rotated out of the way.
The log window shows information about the last used function, possible error messages and, depending on the currently used function, a prompt for the next user action.
A right-click into it brings up a menu, from which it's contents can be either:
- Copied to clipboard for further use
- Saved as a file.
- Cleared (Selected lines or all lines)
